Tampa Bay Introduces New GM

Remley takes command in Tampa
By "Lee Roy Selmon III"

Off-Season 2083 (Tampa) - Former Miami Dolphins assistant GM 'Trader' Lee Remley was introduced today as the new general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, replacing the fired Fred Hurtubise.

'I'm proud and honored to be here,' Remley told the press after being introduced by one of the Japanese businessmen who own the Bucs. 'Despite how last season went, I hear I have a hard act to follow in Fred. I'll try my best to live up to your expectations.'

Reporters kidded Remley that he didn't have to move far.

'I still get to enjoy that Florida weather,' Remley said. 'And a round of golf with Mike isn't too far away,' he added, referring to his former boss, Dolphins GM Mike Morton.

Expectations are high that Remley can make Tampa Bay a contender like he helped to do in Miami.

'I have my own ideas on how to build a championship team, and I'll move to implement them,' Remley promised. 'They'll be a few changes around here the next few weeks.'

It didn't even take that long as Remley wasted no time getting started on the job. He has already brought in a more mobile QB in Frank Moore and picked up extra 1st and 3rd round picks in Monday's draft.

Tampa fans plan to have a draft party as they have the first pick in the draft and six picks overall. They are obviously looking forward to the kind of new blood that those picks will bring in to their stadium next season.
