Sundby Cup Champs add more defense
By "Porsche Lynn Commode"

Off-Season 2238 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals may be the Champions but it has never been said that their GM is one to rest on his laurels.

That was never more evident than when GM 'Trader' Lee Remley pursued two linebackers in free agency and traded for one.

Long known as one who never met a linebacker he didn't like, no one was really surprised.

'With Courtney Elliot retiring and Jeff Tipton not getting any younger, it was something we needed to address,' Remley said.

The Bengals lured away LB Darryl Stanley from Miami, not an easy thing to do with the weather difference, and traded with a fellow linebacker aficionado in Oakland for LB Kevin Roberts when free agent LB John Jacobs opted to re-sign with Seattle.

Together with franchise player Don Hooks, this gives the Bengals a solid linebacker crew to defend their title.

'No one else was sitting around this off season either,' Remley commented when asked about the moves.
