Playoffs 2238 (Cincinnati) - In every martial arts movie ever made, the student eventually has to take on the master.

In the 2238 AFC Championship game, much the same is taking place.

The Seattle Seahawks are led by former Bengals assistant GM Dan Kimball. He sees his team this week taking on the one where he got his first job in the USAFL.

'Dan was sharp and caught on fast,' Cincinnati GM 'Trader' Lee Remley recalled. 'I'm not surprised that Seattle quickly came along and made him their 13th man, as Dan likes to say.'

Seattle fans have long called themselves the 12th man. The fact that Dan put himself after them says much about how he feels about his fans.

So who does Remley think will win?

'You know me better than that,' Remley replied. 'We're the Champs, so the road goes through us. But Seattle had a great regular season, and that defense of theirs is tough. So expect a great game.'

The Bengals offense versus the Seattle defense, and a linebacker who they tried to make a Bengal in John Jacobs.

'Jacobs chose to stay where he was drafted,' Remley recalled. 'You can't fault loyalty.'

That choice seemed to work out well for both sides. After all, these two teams are meeting for the AFC title.
