Bears Win Franchise-Record 13 Games

New QB, Coordinators Get Most of the Credit
By "James McMahon"

Regular Season 2083 (CHICAGO) - By beating first-round playoff opponent Philadelphia in the last game of the season, the Chicago Bears shattered the record for wins in a season for the franchise. The previous record was 11 wins during the 2076 season and most recently during the Superbowl season of 2079.

The decision to go in a new direction with personnel, and most notably, offensive and defensive coordinators have seemed to propel the Bears back into the elite of the USAFL.

New quarterback John Stalker, who was among the league leaders in touchdown passes, interceptions thrown, and QB Rating commented, 'I new we could do this, I just needed a chance to run the show. No offense to Mike (White), but he was just past his prime.....we needed some new blood in here.' Mike White was unavailable for comment.

The Bears begin their Superbowl run next week versus the 9-5 Philadelphia Eagles, whom the Bears beat 27-9 in the season finale.
