Expectations Are High

Off-Season 2255 (Green Bay, WI) - In a surprising move, the Packers have hired former Baltimore Ravens GM Mark Thul to assume the same position with Green Bay.

'It's an honor to be back in the league,' said an energetic Thul, elaborating on his excitement at reestablishing so many great relationships. 'Well, the kids are older now, so it's time to allow my own passions to resurface. It's great that so many of my respected colleagues are still here.'

Green Bay fans seemed generally excited by the news that the team would no longer be under league control.

'We always have the bestest leadership from the head office, with Lewis, Muszynski, and Ricotta among our illustrious GM alumni,' said Packer Superfan Carl Gerbschmidt. 'As a part-owner, me and our other owners can proclaim with great confidence that the Pack will be back with this hire. Just being a part of this world class organization will get Thul to overcome his terrible Minnesota heritage.'

When asked about the seeming conflict between his upbringing and his current position, Thul explained, 'I'll admit that Green Bay has always been one of my least favorite destinations, but the Packers threw an un-godly amount of money at me along with a continuing contract which goes as long as I'm willing, so there must be some desperation here. I can make the best of it.'
