Bengals demise is completely substantiated

Cincinnati 2257 season one of the worst in franchise history

Off-Season 2257 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals are in disarray. Expected to contend this season by fans and experts alike, they produced a 2-11-1 record, one of the worst in franchise history.

Everyone in the organization is now on edge with their GM on the warpath. Or rather those are the reports. No one in the Bengals front office is saying a word.

The players, however, are another story. 'Dude is crazy, he thinks we're lazy,' one player said, who wanted to remain synonymous.

'The boss is unhinged,' said another. 'He don't like losing man, it's just not as good as winning, know what I mean?'

GM 'Trader' Lee Remley himself is incommunicado, according to Director of Public Relations Seiko Ito, while rumors are rampant that he is planning a major house cleaning after a rant on social media after the season was 10 games old.

Ms. Ito denied everything in the team's postseason press briefing that is normally held by the GM himself, causing many to even question his long standing job status.

'GM Remley is busy preparing for the offseason,' the diminutive woman replied when asked where the GM was. 'He is looking forward to the team's performance next season.'

'What about all these changes we are hearing about?' a colleague asked.

'Any announcements are premature,' Ms. Ito replied.

Just then, the press was able to hear from the offices above a booming voice. 'I'll fire all you coaches for this and your little dogs too!'

Ms. Ito looked uncomfortable, but was unbowed and persisted with her briefing. 'Any rumors you may hear at the moment is just false news.'

Meanwhile, rumors persist that Remley is not happy with the play of his high contract players on the offensive and defensive lines, and the overall play of the offense and defense. Remarks on social media that the team can lose with players making much less are being taken seriously by those in the know.

Can the Bengals turn it around? What in the name of Paul Brown happened? Is this the end of a brilliant career? Have I asked enough questions in this article?

We'll see where all this goes after the playoffs.
