Off-Season 2258 (Cincinnati) - The Cincinnati Bengals acquired three Minnesota Vikings veterans before the trading deadline to supplement their roster while they wait for their young players to mature.

CB Jordan Jackson, LB Robert Holmes, and FB Otis Nickles are the newest Bengals. All have been through the Vikings Sundby Cup runs and will give the young team some guidance on how to be a successful pro.

'We have some of the best cornerback tandems and linebacker corps in the league now,' Bengals GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said the a statement read by the team's new PR Director, Ms. Seiko Ito. 'Otis Nickles has been one of the top backs in the league for some time and will enhance our running game.'

Both the defense and the running game were problems for the Bengals last season. Holmes and Jackson should improve their respective positions and the team defense. With Darryl Hall the man eating up yards at halfback and Nickles at FB, the running game should be improved as well.

Cincinnati got younger this offseason but also made moves to compete as well. Fans hope that combination will serve the team well as they move into the future.
