(Cincinnati) - It is the end of an era.
Pat McCullough officially takes over as the Bengals starting quarterback as veteran starter Chris Lucas was traded to Atlanta along with K Jeff Panter and S Eric Culver.
The Bengals surprised even their GM this season by coming off a 2-3 start to finish 10-4 and make it to the AFC Championship game.
But the window on these Bengals are closing, so it is time to turn over the roster to a new generation once again, starting with the most important position on the field.
Lucas ends his career as a Bengal success story as he lead them to the postseason several times. He will end his career in Atlanta and hopes to lead a veteran team to the postseason there before his playing days are done.
