Dancing in the streets of Tampa

Bucs finish over .500
By "Lee Roy Selmon III"

Off-Season 2085 (Tampa) - Folks are dancing in the streets in Tampa as their Buccaneers finished the season 7-6-1, their first better than .500 mark in years, despite finishing last once again in their division.

'This is great!' one reveler shouted during the downtown parade after the season, his face painted orange and black. 'I never thought I'd see this team have a winning season again!'

Bucs GM 'Trader' Lee Remley was given the key to the city and the team was given a tinker tape parade through downtown after their winning season.

Unfortunately, several key Bucs starters, including T Darryl Jordan, DE Brice Sundwall, and CB Calvin Kozak, decided to go out on top and retire after this successful effort.

'Those guys gave it all in their last season despite being on their last legs, and we applaud their efforts,' Bucs GM Remley said. 'It's time for more youngsters to step up and help replace them.'

Many observers expect the Bucs to make more significant changes once the off season begins.

'Just winning isn't good enough,' Remley commented, when asked to elaborate on the team's success. 'We need to be a perennial playoff team. Anything less won't do.'
