Running back retires as greatest in franchise history

Off-Season 2281 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers have announced that running back James White has retired, having been with the franchise his entire long, illustrious career.

White retires as the best rusher in franchise history with 18,813 yards, along with other records for all purpose yards with 23,200 yards and touchdowns with 148.

Carolina GM 'Trader' Lee Remley make the following statement.

'James broke all the great Darryl Dixon's records during his great career, and now will be mentioned in the same breath as Darryl and the great Mike Cummings as the greatest backs in our history. We hate to see James retire, as we will miss his great presence in the locker room, but we wish him well in retirement and will never forget the greatness he brought to this franchise.'

White proudly sported his two Sundby rings at his retirement press conference but as most great players, talked about the one he didn't get and the one more he hopes is to come soon.

'I feel privileged to have been drafted and to play for such a great franchise,' White said. 'I wish we could have won more of these babies (indicating the rings) but I just know I'm going to get one more here shortly.'

As we all know, White has never lacked for confidence, something that all the greats have.
