Tampa playoff bound

Buccaneers end long playoff drought, adding more incentive for new stadium lease
By "Lee Roy Selmon III"

Off-Season 2086 (Tampa) - The Tampa Bay followed their first over .500 season for some time last season with a playoff appearance this season, finally showing the fruits of GM 'Trader' Lee Remley's efforts the past few seasons.

But while Tampa citizens are snapping up playoff tickets, not all is rosy in this part of Florida. Word has been that the Buccaneers quest for a new stadium in Tampa by the time their current lease ends at the end of the 2087 season has hit a brick wall. They also seem to be getting no support from Florida Governor George X.Y.Z. Bush VII in their efforts to keep the team in Tampa.

'All I can tell you is negotiations are continuing,' Remley said when asked about the situation in his weekly press conference. 'But seeing the efforts on the other side of the fence, I'm not real confident right now.'

Rumors are there is another major city in the South that is more than willing to give the Bucs a new stadium if they move there.

Will the franchise move? Stay tuned.
