Carolina RB gets $6 million lifetime deal

Off-Season 2310 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers today made RB Jay White their final franchise player, guaranteeing him $6 million per year for the rest of his career.

Taken with the second overall pick in the 2307 draft, White has started at halfback for Carolina from day one and has established himself as one of the league's best.

'I am pleased to name Jay White as our final franchise player,' GM Lee Remley said in a statement. 'He has been a cornerstone of the young core of our team and we look forward to having him for the rest of his career here in Charlotte.'

With the Rigellian flu still hampering travel and keeping a lot of fans out of the stands, White can't get that Disney World commercial by saying he is going there. But he doesn't care as he is happy to know he has a permanent home in Carolina.

'I'm as happy as a pig in barbecue sauce,' White said as he munched down on ribs in a local Carolina BBQ joint.
