It sounds like a LINE but Carolina wanted more defense

Panthers shore up DL, LB and even add an OL in recent trades

Off-Season 2326 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers gave a lot of points the last three years. The broken furniture in the GM's office is a big indicator of that.

So far this offseason, the defensive line has been rebuilt as youngsters get up to speed, just not quickly enough for the fans or their GM. They even added a LB and an OL to keep their young QB upright.

'These deals, along with our past drafts, set us up both now and in the future,' GM 'Trader' Lee Remley said as he very much has lived up to his nickname. 'I think our fans will be pleased with the results.'

Added to the defensive line are Adam Hayes, Aaron Baumann, and Chris Carver from New York, and Johnny Krumm from Green Bay, all of which fans will now cheer instead of boo. At linebacker Darryl Rhodes was brought in from Minnesota. On the other side of the ball, offensive tackle Cal Radford comes in, also from Green Bay.

What they all have in common is they are all veterans from organizations where they learned how to win. The hope is they impart that knowledge on the youngsters.

Panthers fans are excited about the trades.

'We're back, baby!' one yelled as they celebrated in front of the Kevin Jones practice facility.

Let's hope they're right.
