Trouble for Giants at Golf Classic

Lee and Green nearly come to blows
By "Steve Swanson"

Off-Season 2088 (New York) - Just several days removed from their final game of the season, Giants players Jay Lee, center, and Evan Green, halfback, nearly came to blows at the annual Rudy Giuliani Memorial Golf Tournament.

The two traded verbal jabs all season long, with the rookie Green being very critical of the production of Lee's offensive line, as well as a 'vanilla' playbook employed by first-year headcoach Freeman Williams.

'Someone better keep 'Moby Dick' under control or I'm gonna up n' bust his head,' said Green. 'Why 'Moby Dick?' He's the big, white whale.. ain't it obvious?'

The scuffle happened around the bend just after the ninth hole. Apparently, Green saw Lee's cart in the distance and begin a shouting match that escalated when Lee closed in the distance and left his cart. Course security and teammates had to seperate the two before the confrontation reached a boiling point.

The team has immediately fined each player $20,000 for the ruckus they have caused. Green has responded by donating an additional $100,000 to the Giuliani Fund, a charity which benefits numerous New York-related causes.

'I double-dare him to match that donation,' said Green in a brief appearance yesterday in New York. 'He'll be lucky, though. That boy wastes all his money on two things: fried chicken and tissues. Nothin' but a big ol' crybaby.'

Neither Lee nor Giants brass could be reached for comment.
