Regular Season 2089 (Baltimore, MD) - It only took one season for league officials to recognize the talent of the Baltimore Ravens newest General Manager, Ryan Howard, naming him the 47th recipient of the 'Garritt Grandberg USA Sports Spirit Award'. USAFL Founder/Commissioner Andrew Lewis made the unexpected announcement while arriving at the Ravens annual 'Cha-Ching for Chesapeake' charity ball.

'I can honestly say that it has been refreshing to see this franchise recieve such long overdue attention,' said Lewis while walking the press line into the event.

'I've instructed my people to ship Mr. Howard a Granny immediately and to send me the bill,' continued Lewis, referring to the little known nickname for the Grandberg Award.

Howard's impact on the Ravens franchise has been immediate. His open-door policy with the local press has recieved praise from the Ravens fanbase.

'Cha-Ching for Chesapeake' is one of the Baltimore Ravens local charity events held each year at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The event raises money to help keep the Chesapeake Bay pollutant-free.
