(Cincinnati, OH) - After the learning experience the Bengals went through with OL Barry Davenport they have vowed to never be burned like that again. In an effor to keep the core of their OL in tact for the coming years they have franchised OL Beau Haslip. The FP5 contract will give Haslip a salary of 12 million per year for the remainder of his contract.
When Haslip hinted that he would accept such an offer, Bengald GM James Barr jumped all over it stating;
'I'm not gonna lose another one of my loyal and valuable players because we can't cover an offer from another team. We want to compete, and Haslip is the kind of player we need on this team.'
