Young QB gets long term deal

Off-Season 2092 (Cincinnati, OH) - Cincinnati Bengals and QB Mike Rocker have come to an agreement that should keep Rocker in a Bengals uniform for many years to come.

It was announced earlier today that Mike Rocker has signed a franchise player contract and will be earning 8 million per year for the rest of his career.

When asked about the contract Rocker had this to say;

'It's great. They gave me a shot to play last year and I showed them what I can do. It's only fair that they reward me for that, and I'm glad that they took it on themselves to come to me about this contract.'

Some have questioned why Rocker would sign this sort of deal right now, especially when it looks like his talents are still growing. Some say the sky is the limit on this kid.

'Football is a rough game. You never know when you could blow out a knee or something like that. 8 million [dollars] a year is nothing to scoff at. I figure that should set me and my family up for a good retirement. Why be greedy when you have an organization like the Bengals that have shown you nothing but respect and patience?'

Rocker is happy with this new deal, and it seems like a bargain for the Bengals. Everyone wins, and everyone goes home happy.
