(Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers announced today that they have declared DE 'Friar' Tuck Ridgle on of their franchise players, guaranteeing him a contract of $12 million per season the rest of his career.
'We are glad that Tuck will be here the rest of his career,' Panthers GM 'Trader' Lee Remley told the media at the press conference announcing the deal. 'We overlooked a lot of free agents this year in preparation for this deal with one of our own.'
The second round pick has proven to be a real steal for the Panthers with his speed off the end. Panthers fans can rest easy that he will remain in Carolina because there is none finer.
