Keeping up with Jones in Charlotte

Rookie Jones wins Panthers QB job
By "Bucky Katz"

Off-Season 2095 (Charlotte) - The candidates for the starting QB job in Carolina found they couldn't keep up with the Joneses as the second pick in the draft, rookie QB Kevin Jones, won the starting job.

'We didn't pick him that high to sit,' GM 'Trader' Lee Remley commented when questioned on the decision. 'Our veteran QBs are getting long in the tooth so we decided the future is now.'

Panthers fans are a bit concerned that Jones will befall the problems many young QBs have, something that was emphasized after their 1-4 start.

'Kevin has a good supporting staff around him,' Remley pointed out. 'He'll be just fine. Afer all, he's going to be our franchise QB in a couple of years.'
