The Final Push to 50,000

Alexander 793 yards away with four games remaining

Regular Season 2100 (Albany, NY) - With Giants quarterback Ken Alexander 793 yards away from 50,000 career passing yards with four games remaining, one would think that Alexander has a good shot at joining the 50,000 club.

Alexander thinks otherwise.

'You know the old sports cliche, gotta take it one game at a time?' Alexander asked. 'This is pretty much the truth in this case.'

'We have four fantastic pass defenses coming up in our last four games. I know how many yards I need, but I'm going to go up against four teams looking for playoff positioning and momentum. It's not going to be easy, and I tell ya, I feel like a fifteen year veteran, that's for sure.'

Alexander's suffering a career low completion percentage this season, which may also prove difficult for Alexander to join the 50,000 club.

'I don't think I was the type of quarterback for the K-Gun system anyway.' Alexander said with a laugh. 'I've been told it's a high risk/high-reward style of offense for quarterbacks with great arm strength. But I can't put blame on it, like I said, I'm feeling the rigors of a long and prosperous career, and once this season's over it'll finally be time to put the ol' arm to rest. Whatever happens the rest of the way, I've had no regrets.'
