Callers to radio show call for Malloy's head after he missed out on #1 pick

Off-Season 2101 (New York, NY) - Many local Giants fans are still steamed days after the Chicago Bears moved their #1 pick to the Kansas City Chiefs. It doesn't look like things will settle down anytime soon as a large number of callers to local radio sports talk stations have expressed their anger about the Giants front office.

'I've never heard anything like this before.' Charles Russo, co-host of the Matt and the Really Angry Canine show on WFAN said. 'These fans wanted Monte Owen on this team to replace Ken Alexander, and they feel the window of opportunity has slammed shut.'

There were trade rumors floating around about a three way deal between the Chicago Bears, the Houston Texans, and the Giants where the Giants would acquire the #1 overall pick and trade out of the draft. However, the Chiefs swooped in at the last minute and made an offer that the Bears quickly agreed to. Fans believe that Malloy did not do anything to sweeten the deal and the three-way deal was quickly off the table because of Malloy's indecision.

'I can't believe what Malloy has done.' A local caller said on the Matt and the Really Angry Canine program. 'How in the (BLEEP) do you not pull off a three way deal to get a franchise quarterback?'

'We've overworked the dump button to the point where we couldn't use any more show time to dump out of irate callers.' Matt Francesca said. 'This is unbelievable, fans are out for blood.'

Here are some exampled of what callers to the program had to say: 'I think since Malloy didn't do anything to pull the trigger on that three way deal, the Giants should fire Malloy and give the GM spot to someone that has the guts to make these kind of trades trades.' 'The scouts are calling this draft the weakest in years! This was a perfect opportunity to trade out of a weak draft and draft the best guy available!' 'WHAT THE (bleep). Why didn't Malloy make this deal?' 'THIS IS HORRIBLE.'

Currently, the Giants and Malloy have no comment about the recent increase of angry callers to the sports talk radio programs, as they are preparing for tomorrow night's draft.
