"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

James calls out Dixon as the Sundby collision course begins

Playoffs 2102 (Baltimore) - 'YOU SHALL NOT PASS!'

The words once echoed in one of the greatest literary and film trilogies of all time rang throughout the Baltimore Ravens' locker room.

The words came from Sawyer James, who just this year moved inside to defensive tackle in order to help anchor the Ravens' defensive line. The results have been phenomenal: including the playoffs, the Ravens have only allowed a league best 57.6 rushing yards per game and 2.9 yards per carry.

The response was given when asked if he had anything to say to Dallas Cowboys' tailback and league MVP Chance Dixon, who has been torching the NFC for years. Dixon, a sure-fire Hall of Famer, ran for 97 yards on 25 carries against a sturdy Green Bay Packers line en route to yet another NFC Championship for America's Team. In one week's time, Dixon will be put to the test against perhaps the best run defense seen in years in the USAFL.

Despite the champagne heavily flowing in the locker room (in celebration of a stellar season and the team's first AFC Championship in years) and a buzz throughout the state the Maryland, the Ravens aren't quite the champions yet.

To win the team's first championship in nearly half a century, they will have to face an equally accomplished Cowboy's defense that is just as stingy against the run, allowing only 60.2 yards per game and 3.2 yards per carry.

Scott 'Ultra' Lyght claims to be game for the task. Lyght, who shows flashes of brilliance with his blinding speed, was brought in during the off-season by General Manager Ryan Howard from the Houston Texans. Lyght has been able to offer All Pro quarterback Morgan Sims an option in the backfield that long-time Ravens' 'back Perry Brock simply could not provide. The results have been phenomenal, and the one team that seemed to have a solution during the regular season -- the New England Patriots -- finally succumbed to the Ravens in the post-season. Lyght was able to run for 95 yards on 23 carries.

While not stellar, Lyght's efforts were enough to throw the Patriots' defense off guard. Sims then stepped in and went 25-of-34 for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns -- including two to future Hall of Famer Rutger Target.

The reaction at Memorial Stadium as the final seconds ticked away was a memory few will soon forget.

Whether Head Coach Jeff Jobes' squad wins or loses, the Ravens are determined to play their hearts out when they travel down to Dallas next Sunday for the championship.

The City of Baltimore and the State of Maryland are electric. Many are expecting a record-breaking viewership next Sunday as the Ravens promise a historic victory.

The Ravens plan to make good on that promise.
