(Chicago, IL) - Former Minnesota and New England AGM Jeff Muszynski made a surprising return to the Central Division today when Chicago announced him as their new general manager. During a brief press conference, Chicago ownership issued the following statement:
'After searching for a while, we are confident that Jeff can take us to the next level. We have given him the tools to succeed and there is a strong foundation here, obviously by our recent playoff performance. But we look forward to Jeff putting his own stamp on the team.'
A surprise pick to lead the Bears, this former Viking called out his past team in his own remarks.
'I'm looking forward to meeting the Vikings in the Metrodome this season. I had enough experience cleaning the toilets under Lou, at least I can feel confident that the toilets will be clean when we flush the Vikings down them.'
With a gleam in his eye, it looks like his time in New England has given Muszynski a new lease on life and a renewed desire to compete. Whether he can be successful with full control of a team remains to be seen.
