Housecleaning in Chicago

GM brings the axe down
By "Tony Kornheiser IV"

Off-Season 2121 (Chicago, IL) - In a not-so-stunning move, Chicago GM Jeff Muszynski announced that every member of his staff was being dismissed and replaced after discovering that an assistant GM inked a player to a contract putting the franchise over the league salary cap. GM Muszynski released the following statement:

'It is not an easy thing to do, letting these people go. But faced with the option of keeping on a staff that clearly had lost its way, I had no choice. The plan for the offseason was set, and others in the office saw fit to go behind my back and deviate from that plan. They had to be let go. We will be hiring replacements soon, but I can handle making coffee along with my normal day for a while.'

Apparently Muszynski learned from his time with GM Lombardo, notorious for his housecleaning when AGMs got a little too good at their jobs, or a little too independent. Only time will tell if this has an effect on the players who are gearing up for another return to the playoffs this year.
