Spindler's Days Are Numbered

if he doesn't pick it up

Regular Season 2080 (Cleveland, OH) - Freemand Spindler may be counting his days in Cleveland, or wherever the team ends up for that matter.

Cleveland has given up the least amount of points in the entire AFC, but still are only two games above .500. GM James Barr attributes this to the poor play of QB Freeman Spindler. He has picked things up slightly in recent games, but is still not playing up to the potential that the team sees in him.

'We feel he is without a doubt the most talented QB we have on the roster. What he has to do is prove to us that we are right. We have given him the shot twice so far is his short career, and to be honest he has yet to impress us. The biggest problem is the picks. He needs to make better decisions with the ball.'

Spindler will more than likely find himself on the trade block after this season if he doesn't lead this team to the playoffs. Some say even a playoff birth may not be enough to save his job in Cleveland.

'We have two veterans, proven guys, sitting on the bench behind this kid. If he doesn't do what we need, they will have no problem becoming starters once again.'

Yardage and completion percentage are pretty good compared to the rest of the league. Spindler could draw a pretty good amount of interest if this happens as well.

Some teams have already shown past interest in Freeman, so moving him won't be a problem.

'Basically what it comes down to is whether or not he wants to play for the Browns.'
