- Kansas City defensive back Cornelius Ilesic fractured the tibia and fibula in his left leg during the Chiefs final regular season game. While he should be able to walk again with therapy, doctors say it's the type of break that will cause him discomfort the rest of his life.
He was a promising corner back who was already showing above average skills and displayed an understanding of the defensive schemes way ahead of his time.
It is a devastating blow going into the post season. The Chiefs say they are dedicating the playoffs to 'Corny'.
