Regular Season 2154 (Green Bay, WI) - Even in the lean years after the Packers recent dynasty, Green Bay fans have at least one thing to cheer for - DL Ozzie Ellerson's quest to become the all-time USAFL sack king. Now with 272 sacks for his career and still counting, The 'Wizard of Oz' can call himself the best QB killer of all time.

Part of the 'Trio of Terror' with Brenner and Callaway, Ellerson terrorized quarterbacks and led the Green Bay defense to three consecutive championships. With those three rings, the only thing left for Ellerson to reach for was the all-time record, previously held by the phenominal Glenn Flynn. When asked about overtaking the Baltimore legend, Ellerson had this to offer:

'Flynn was someone I looked up to as I entered the league. Having taken his spot on top of the all-time sack list is a true honor and humbling.'

In the more recent 'rebuilding' years in Green Bay, Ellerson remains a fan favorite and will retire as a Packer in the next few years. He will immediately enter the Packer hall of fame and wait for what will likely be enshrinement in the USAFL hall as well.
