Schultz, a distant relative of comic strip 'Peanuts' creator Charles Schultz, will receive a guaranteed $8 million per season for the rest of his career.
'Snoopy has been all that we've asked for,' beamed GM Mark Thul. 'That 2284 draft was full of amazing talent. While I'm sure we won't be the only team franchising a player this year, I'm certainly glad that we landed Eddie.'
