Carolina Franchises Two

LB Williams and T Moore given $6 million contracts for life

Off-Season 2309 (Charlotte) - The Carolina Panthers today designated T Scott Moore and LB John Williams their latest franchise players, guaranteeing them $6 million contracts the rest of their sure to be illustrious careers.

Taken fourth overall in the 2306 draft, Williams has proved to be a force on defense as he has started at outside linebacker from day one.

Somewhat more surprising was the choice of Moore, as this will be his first year as a starter, but he is a talented young lineman who was sure to get some interest in free agency later in his career. As he was drafted with the 11th pick in the third round of the same draft, he has worked hard to be a force on the offensive line.

'These two players, along with RB Jay White, will be the anchors of our young team going forward,' GM Lee Remley said in a statement. 'We look forward to many more productive years from these guys.'
