Last Twenty Seasons

What have you done for me lately?
For a while, I’ve wondered about the
“Franchise Overall Record” on each
team’s page. I’ve secretly suspected
that most teams have an incorrect
win/loss total posted there. I mean,
over the past three years, my team has
played more than zero games. ;)
Anyway, I thought it might be
interesting to look into a little bit. I
charted the team results for the past
twenty years. The results are probably
what you’d expect, but here they are:

Buffalo
doesn’t lose when they get to the big
game. Scary. Combine them with Houston,
Oakland, and Miami’s results, and you
begin to understand why the AFC is 13-7
in the Sunby Cup over the past twenty
years.
"So why twenty years? Well, all of this
might be a nice measure that we can
follow. Constantly watching the overall
franchise record would be like watching
a pot boil...it isn't going to change
soon; however, following the past twenty
years will be very interesting as it'll
be drastically affected by a team's
current season record and what year
rotates out.
I'll be updating this yearly, so make
sure to stay tuned!"
